After the double assault that was Xhin and Tzusing back in January, Midnight Shift pairs up with NoPartyHere for another double serving of trouble: Hodge meets Rivet. Supported by label founders, Lily’s Rose, together with Jerls.

One, a young Bristolian representing the melting pot of UK techno sounds: dubstep, garage and drum ‘n bass. The other a Swedish techno veteran since the 90s with diverse influences from breakbeat and jungle. Both, defying 4/4 techno with elements from all around while staying true to who they are.

In his 20s, Hodge aka Jacob Martin has already crafted a unique take on techno, pouring in influences from film to literature, and the music scenes he belonged to. The result is techno that is not afraid to stray from the formula, bringing in broken beats, house, dub or grime into the mixing board. As with his productions, his DJ sets roll out the same fresh and blistering energy - definitely catch the action.

Rivet, formerly known as Grovskopa, is known both for his skilful production work and breathtaking 4-deck DJ sets. Nothing is sacred for while classified techno, he has been challenging the genre by merging it with industrial, jungle or even hardcore while coming off as rugged yet emotional. As a DJ, his cuts, drops and chops working off multiple decks create a funk-laden frenzy few can touch.

Supporting is DJ/producer Jerls of NoPartyHere, who emerged from the local hardcore scene at 15 and now works out on a different dancefloor but with the same frenetic energy of UK-influenced sounds from house to grime and dubstep. Also on the bill are label founders, Lily’s Rose representing the label sound with the raw, the analogue and the human.
